The new leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Paramount FM Chapel has been inaugurated with a call on the executive members to remain focused and sustain professionalism in the discharge of their duties. 

The Chairman, Ogun State Council of the Union, Comrade Akinwale Olanrewaju made the call at the inauguration of the new executive members of Paramount FM Chapel held at the conference hall of the Broadcasting House, Paramount Hill, Kobape Road, Abeokuta.

Comrade Olanrewaju who assured the new executives of the council’s support encouraged them to raise the bar in their performance for the next three years.

Addressing the gathering with two former chairmen, Mrs Kikelomo Badejo and Mr Olatunji Idowu in attendance, the General Manager of Paramount FM, Abeokuta, Mr Akinyinka Akintola encouraged the new executive members of the Chapel to work with the leaders and come up with activities that would make the chapel vibrant for the benefit of members. 

Mr Akintola also reminded them of the need to be good ambassadors of the station and Corporation in their dealings.

In her acceptance speech, the new NUJ Chairman, Paramount FM Chapel, Mrs Bolanle Adesida promised to introduce more programmes to boost the capacity development of members. 

Mrs Adesida also promised the union’s readiness to collaborate with the management of the station for improved welfare plan for the members of staff.

She solicited the assistance and cooperation of everyone towards the realisation of the agenda of ensuring better life for members. 

Others inaugurated as part of the new executive team were Mrs Francisca Irekpita as Secretary, Mrs Funke Odunsi, Treasurer, Mr Abdquadri Oyinlola as Financial Secretary and Miss Omolara Adasofunjo as the Auditor.
