President Bola Tinubu is expected to declare open the Second Africa Military Games in Abuja after 25 years of the first edition.

Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, stated this in Abuja when he received the Games Trophy, flag, and torch of unity from the President of the Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, Major-General Abdullahi Maikano.

General Musa explained that the games are part of the non-kinetic efforts of the military to pursue peace with other countries and strengthen bilateral relations.

Major-General Abdullahi Maikano said the first edition was held in Kenya twenty years ago and Egypt has been given the right to host the third edition, whose date would be announced at the closing of the second edition hosted by Nigeria
