Radio Nigeria Staff now Bobajiro of Sawonjo, Yewa

The Chairman, Radio Television and Theatre Workers Union, RATTAWU, Ogun State Council, Mr Idowu Rotimi has been conferred with a Chieftaincy title of Bobajiro of Sawonjo town in Yewa North local government Area of Ogun State, with a charge on him to work together with other Chiefs to attract more development to the town.

Addressing the gathering at his Palace, the Olu of Sawonjo, Oba Michael Oderinde pointed out that the town was in dire need of many infrastructure, especially, motorable road, and called for a concerted effort to alleviate the sufferings of the people of the Area.

Oba Oderinde maintained that National development required collective effort, hence the need for people to strive to contribute towards the growth of their Communities and the Country in general.

The Monarch described Chief Idowu as a worthy son of Sawonjoland, and advised him not to derail from his well-known good characters.

In a remark, the Bobajiro of Sawonjoland, who is a Staff of Radio Nigeria Paramount FM, Abeokuta, Chief Idowu Rotimi expressed appreciation to the Monarch and people of the town for the honour done to him, promising to justify the kind gesture and work for the overall development of the town.

Dignitaries at the ceremony included the Staff of Radio Nigeria Paramount FM Abeokuta, led by the Manager, Marketing, Mr Michael Oyewale, as well as the former Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Bankole.

The Chieftaincy ceremony featured Masquerade displays and gun salutes.
