Osun State House of Assembly has confirmed Mr Amodu Taiwo and Mr. Oyekanmi Laide as the Caretaker Chairman and Vice Chairman of Ede North Local Government Area following the death of the former caretaker chairman, Jimoh Oyekanmi who passed away few weeks ago.
The Speaker, Prince Adewale Egbedun made the confirmation after reading the letter from the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke during Plenary held at the Assembly Complex, Osogbo.
The former Caretaker Vice Chairman, Mr. Taiwo Amodu was elevated to the position of Caretaker Chairman and Mr. Laide Oyekanmi emerged as Vice Chairman.
Also, Osun State Urban and Rural Access Roads Authority Bill 2023 and Osun State Roads Funds Bill 2023 scaled through its first reading.
In another development, the House of Assembly spoke extensively on the Policy Thrust of Osun State High Court & Customary Court of Appeal Registrar, Secretary to Osun State Judiciary Service Commission, Solicitor General of Osun State Ministry of Justice, Osun State Magistrate & District Customary President retirement Age bill 2023
During the Policy thrust of the aforementioned Bill, Mr. Kanmi Ajibola noted that the bill would permit gradual promotion of judges and registrar to next level in service.
In Seperate contributions from other Legislators called for the accelerated passage of the Bill.
In his remark, The Speaker, Prince Adewale Egbedun said series of benefits would be achieved if passed into law.
