The Osun State Local Government Areas (Creation and Administration) Amendment No 6 Bill has scaled through its final passage.
This followed its adoption by the Majority Leader of Osun State House of Assembly , Mr. Adewunmi Kofoworola and Seconded by member representing Egbedore State Constituency, Mr. Adesola Ogunrinade.
The Speaker of the House, Prince Adewale Egbedun who presided over the plenary said the Bill would be forwarded to the State Governor for assent.
Meanwhile , Member Representing Ife – South, Mr. Lawrence Adeoti while presenting the Policy Thrust of the Osun State New Towns & Growth Areas Development Authority review bill 2023 emphasized that the previous law contained lots of abnormalities which needs to be corrected.
Mr. Adeoti explained that the abnormalities had caused hardship to the people and public at large.
In separate contributions, the lawmakers noted that the bill needs to be reviewed to correct the wrongs to upgrade the cities and towns.
Also, the Osun State Anti-Corruption Establishment Agency bill 2023 scaled through its second reading.
