A few days before the celebration of Christmas and New Year, security operatives in Oyo state say they have put various measures in place to ensure that people enjoy a crime-free Yuletide.
Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC Oyo state commandant, Dr Michael Adaralewa said the command had deployed two thousand, five hundred personnel to different points to enhance and maintain a peaceful environment during the Yuletide.
Dr Adaralewa gave residents assurance of a safe and secure society during the Yuletide, saying armed squads have been monitoring the state to ensure that all the flash points are secured.
Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo state, Mr Adewale Osifeso said the command had rejigged the already existing security architecture to comprehensively cater for security needs at the Yuletide season and beyond.
Mr Osifeso noted that mechanisms had been put in different places such as recreation centers and all the black spots in Oyo state.
