The Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, OSHA, Prince Olumide Egbedun wants Christians to show love and be compassionate with the less-privileged in the society.

Prince Egbedun made the call in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olamide Tiamiyu and made available to newsmen.

The speaker urged Christians to use the occasion to extend the hands of love and brotherliness to others as enshrined in the doctrine of Christmas.

He appealed to Christian clerics and adherents of the faith to use the opportunity of this period to pray for the state and the governor of the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke in his efforts towards making it greater.

Prince Egbedun on behalf of the 8th Assembly congratulated Christian faithful on the occasion of Christmas, saying the festival is firmly rooted in Christian faith as it marks the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

While emphasizing that Christmas is a time to show gratitude to God for his numerous blessings, the Speaker added that It is also a period to demonstrate utmost humility, enduring kindness and a heart of sacrifice especially towards the less privileged in society.
