To achieve progress this year, people must be committed to their goals and avoid all forms of distraction.
The General Overseer, World Outreach Revival Center, Adegbayi, Ibadan, Apostle Peter Akanji gave the admonition at the first Sunday of the year service held at the church .
In a sermon entitled “He Crowns the year with his goodness” taken from the book of Psalms 65 verse 11,the minister said that no matter how tough the year may be, victory is sure.
“When battles of life comes, always remember that victory is sure and praise God afterwards. In 2024, fight daily for your destiny, whatever lawful business your hands find,do it with all your might.If you can crawl, crawl, if you can walk, do so , just make sure you are not idle this year. Finally, don’t allow any form of distraction for you to achieve your set goals.”
Some of the worshippers who expressed joy for witnessing the new year promised to abide the word of God and serve him better this year.
The service also featured special rendition by the church choir and thanksgiving.
