Ekiti State has joined other States like Lagos and Oyo, to witness the first rain of the year.
The rain was witnessed in some parts of Ado Ekiti, the state capital, irepodun Ifelodun Local Government and Aramoko in Ekiti West Council Area.
The rain which was heavy in some parts of the state lasted for more than thirty minutes.
The first rain in the year started around ten O’clock in the night and subsided at half past ten.
There had been signs of imminent rain in Ekiti State in the last few days.
