Notable individuals, political associates, friends and family members of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun turned out in colourful attires for a special thanksgiving service in commemoration of the Governor’s victory at the Supreme Court. 

The event held at the St James’s Anglican Church, Iperu Remo was presided over by the Remo Diocesan Bishop and Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Reverend Olushina Fape. 

In a sermon entitled” God which had begun a good work, would complete it” the Most Reverend Fape called on Governor Dapo Abiodun to focus on more landmarks and monumental achievements that would provide succour to the people of the state.

The Clergyman who noted that the recent verdict of the Supreme Court was a testament to God’s hand in the present administration urged Governor Abiodun to shun all forms of distraction in his efforts to ensure good governance.

While commending the government’s initiative of providing affordable housing to the people, the religious leader advocated the completion of some housing facilities abandoned by the previous administration, including the Housing Estates at Makun and Iseri areas of the state.

In a remark, Governor Dapo Abiodun expressed his appreciation to God over the Supreme Court’s pronouncement and also acknowledged the unwavering support of President Bola Tinubu for his government.

Governor Abiodun restated his commitment to implementing more workable policies to enhance job opportunities for the youths, emphasizing that it was time to focus more on meeting the needs of the people.

The Thanksgiving service featured musical renditions and performances, including that of the popular Ayan Jesu Gospel Artistes.
