In a bid to further secure the state, the Oyo Government has disclosed its readiness to repair seven armoured personnel carriers to equip security agencies.

The state’s Commissioner for Justice, Abiodun Aikomo disclosed this while briefing journalists after the executive council meeting at the Governor’s office, Secretariat, Ibadan.

Mr Aikomo said the present government was poised to sustain the security of the state, noting that it would expend a sum of 184 million naira to repair the seven armoured personnel carriers, with the initial fee of #100million while the remaining would be paid after the rehabilitation of the carriers.

Also, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade said the state would commence its second phase of Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery, SAFER, from next month, March.

Prince Oyelade noted that the state government recorded successes in its first SAFER programme in health, food supply and loans to small-scale business owners promising to make frantic efforts to ensure that more citizens are impacted positively during the second phase.

Also, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Professor Musbau Babatunde explained the readiness of the government to support the bi_annual police games which are held from 25th February and March 5th at five sporting facilities including the Lekan Adamasingba Stadium, GolfClub, Recreation Club, Olubadan,  and Ilaji Stadium for a worthwhile outing.
