Nigeria Police, Ogun State Command has paraded seven suspected Kidnappers and ritualists in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Adijat Sulaimon in the Atan Ota area of the state.

Those arrested were Moses Abidemi, Olowo Samuel Monday, Akinwunmi Ifatosin  Prophet Jamiu Yusuf, Sheriff Agbai and Osijeahen Alioneitouria.

Briefing newsmen in Abeokuta, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Alamutu explained that the victim was invited to one hotel at Ajegunle, Atan Ota on a date with Adebayo Azeez, who is yet to be apprehended. 

Mr Alamutu said the lady’s disappearance was later reported at  Onipanu Police Divisional headquarters by her parent on the 9th of January 2024, which prompted the command to swift into action, while the arrest was effected by the anti-kidnapping unit of the command.

The Commissioner of Police explained that the investigation revealed that one Sheriff Agbai and Osijeahen Alioneitouria had contacted Oluwo Samuel Monday, who engaged other accomplices said to be specialised in human parts harvesting, for money ritual.

He said the issue escalated when the money ritual preparation failed to yield the expected result as Osijeahen complained that he had used the entire ritual element as instructed by the Oluwo without any effect. 

The Police boss told journalists that all the suspects had confessed to the alleged crime and the roles played by individuals, saying the investigation was ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects and promised that the case would be charged to court upon completion of the Investigation.

Items recovered from the shrine of Abidemi Moses included 10 female handbags, two 25 litres gallons containing human parts, one Axe, 2 cement sacks containing bones as well as 2 crowns and staffs of the office of two monarchs in Atan Ota Area of Ogun state.
