As Muslims in Oyo State join their counterparts across the world to celebrate this year’s EidEl-Fitri, the Oyo State House of Assembly has felicitated with Muslims in the state, while enjoining them to internalise the lessons learnt during the Holy month of Ramadan to have a better society.

In a statement issued by the Chairman, House Committee on Media,  Public Affairs and Information Communication Technology, Mr. Waheed Akintayo, there is a need to be more prayerful for the State and ensure that nothing truncates the peaceful co-existence already in place and enjoyed by all and sundry.

Mr Akintayo urged everyone to continue in the Spirit of love, tolerance and oneness as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

Also speaking, the Clerk of the House, Mrs Yetunde Oludara Awe said the Ramadan period inculcates devotion, patience, humility, tolerance, forgiveness, kindness and other virtues which should be maintained before, during and after fasting.
