Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended condolences to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, following the death of his mother, Mrs Monsurat Bankole.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, Governor Abiodun described the late Mrs. Monsurat Bankole as an exceptional woman of substance and a devout Muslim who made significant contributions to her community.
“She was a remarkable leader and a pillar of strength for the Bankole family,” the governor stated.
He prayed for the repose of her soul and divine strength for the bereaved family to endure the profound loss.
Mrs Bankole, a matriarch of the Bankole family, died on Friday at the age of 79 during a brief illness.
