Ogun State Government has implored the newly recruited fifty Environmental Marshalls to ensure that residents comply with the state’s environmental laws through proper enforcement.
The Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya stated this while inducting the Environmental Marshalls at the conference room of the Ministry in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Dr Oresanya also encouraged the marshalls to work assiduously for the environmental sustainability of the State which he described as paramount to the present administration.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency, OGEPA, who is also the Chairman of the Ogun State Taskforce on Environmental Compliance and Enforcement, Mr Farouk Akintunde, called on the officers to be hardworking and see the assignment as a commitment to serve the State.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Sam Oyeleye admonished the Environment Marshalls to be good ambassadors of the Ministry and her sister agencies, by carrying out their duties with utmost diligence and discipline.
Speaking on behalf of the newly recruited Environmental Marshalls, Mrs. Rukayat Sosanwo, appreciated the state government for the opportunity to serve, while promising to abide by the rules and ethics of the job.
