The Management of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has received a letter on the appointment of Right Honorable Adejare Bello as the new Pro – Chancellor and Chairman of Council for the University.
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju made this known in a statement made available to Newsmen.
Mr. Olanrewaju noted that the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly from 2003 to 2011, would bring to the position a rich blend of legislative experience, diplomatic exposure, and deep-rooted commitment to educational advancement.
He explained that the new Pro – Chancellor had contributed significantly to the country’s diplomatic engagements and international relations for inter-governmental development.
Mr. Olanrewaju on behalf of University expressed profound confidence in his capacity to provide visionary leadership and to work harmoniously with Council members, Management, staff, Unions, students, alumni, and other stakeholders in advancing the mission and global standing of the University.
