He noted that the government continued to depend on World Bank loans and other funds to do developmental projects which were later abandoned after a few years, without sustainable plans.

Chief Fasuyi explained that the Ijesa Development Fund was set up for all Ijesa sons and daughters in the six Local Government Areas of Ijesaland to contribute a sum of money every year towards the developmental projects in the area.

He said if all communities could do the same, it would fast-track development in every part of Osun State and Nigeria.

In a remark, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr Wale Idowu described the Asiwaju of Ijesaland as a real son of Ijesaland who contributed and facilitated developmental projects in Ijesa.
