The Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr. Mohammed Bulama, says the future of Nigeria rests squarely in the hands of its vibrant youth population.
Dr Bulama made the declaration during the 15th anniversary of the Niger Delta National Youth and Development Stakeholders Forum in Akure, Ondo State.



Represented by the Zonal Director of FRCN’s Ibadan Station, Mr. Dominic Mokikan, the FRCN DG emphasized the urgent need to empower young Nigerians, asserting that with the right tools and opportunities, they can compete globally.
He stressed that Nigerian youths are the backbone of the nation and urged stakeholders to invest in their potential.
The FRCN boss praised the forum’s unwavering dedication to fostering national peace and unity, while advocating for positive aspirations among Niger Delta youths.
Dr Bulama also pledged that Radio Nigeria would continue amplifying the voices of young people, particularly in the fight against societal ills.
Earlier in an address during the event, the Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Abubakar Momoh, highlighted the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to tackling the challenges plaguing the Niger Delta region.
He assured that the government is determined to create a conducive environment for growth and development.
Adding a motivational touch, the Chairman of the event and a renowned expert in entrepreneurial studies, Professor Sola Aliyu, urged youths to remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams.
Professor Aliyu reminded them that their dedication today would shape a glorious tomorrow.
The forum, attended by over 200 participants, concluded with a resounding pledge from the youths to champion the progress, peace, and unity of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
However, they called on the government to act swiftly in addressing the myriad challenges facing the region’s young population.
