Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has presented two trucks and a car to the Oyo-Osun Zonal Police command to boost its operations.
The gesture came during a courtesy call by Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Oyo-Osun Zone 11, Fred Ekokotu to the governor’s office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
Speaking during the visit, Governor, Makinde lauded the impressive performance of the security operatives in the state, saying it has greatly influenced stability and economic activities in Oyo and Osun states.

Governor Makinde sued for peace from the people at the Oyo-Osun boundaries, appealing to the elites to make ways for long lasting peace across the south-west and Nigeria as a whole.
In a remark, Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Oyo-Osun zone 11 Command, Fred Ekokotu while describing his visit as homely, pledged to continue to contribute to the security development of Oyo-Osun over the boundary disputes between the two states.
The visit had in attendance the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Johnson Adenola, Oyo state security council advisers including retired CP Sunday Odukoya, government functionaries among others.
