By Funmi Ojo

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has turned the fortunes of a female puff-puff seller around when he bought all her snacks for ₦50,000 and immediately offered her employment as a chef at the Government House in Osogbo.

The heartwarming gesture took place during a solidarity rally organised by Osun public servants, who came out in their thousands to appreciate the Governor for prioritizing workers’ welfare since assuming office.

Governor Adeleke, who was seated inside a bus during the rally, reportedly noticed the woman in the crowd balancing a plastic container of puff-puff on her head while cheering along with others, he beckoned her closer and asked how much it would cost to buy all her snacks.

The puff-puff seller who was visibly nervous at her sudden proximity to the Governor, struggled to respond, the Governor, however, handed her a cash gift of ₦50,000, making the crowd shout for joy.

The woman immediately went down on her knees in gratitude, while excited onlookers helped themselves to the puff-puff that had already been bought by the governor.

Governor Adeleke later invited the hawker into his vehicle, where he asked about her cooking skills, and upon her confirmation, instructed aides to collect her contact details for immediate employment as a chef in the government house.
