It was a moment of Joy and celebration as members of Staff of the Department of Engineering Services, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station gathered to celebrate the grand finale of 2025 Engineering Week.
The Members of Staff who were clad in blue and white attire converged on Studio One Broadcasting House, Dugbe, Ibadan.
Delivering a Lecture entitled “Professional Development and Engineering Entrepreneurship, the guest speaker, Chief Executive Officer, Protogy Global Service Limited, Mr Ademola Agoro advocated for adequate training and re-training of Engineers to boost their professional development.
Represented by Immediate Past President of Nigerian Society of Engineers Oluyole Branch, Professor Adewale Ikotu, Mr Agoro said prompt training would not only improve national and technical development but also improve self development for engineers after retirement.
In an address of welcome, the Deputy Director, Engineering Services FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Mrs Ibiyemi Obadina who said the future of Engineering in an organisation depends solidly on the professional development of Engineers, urging them to improve their skills.
In a remark, the Zonal Director FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Dominic Mokikan affirmed that the theme of the event was not only timely but absolutely necessary; saying the team of engineers would continue to remain at the forefront of the broadcast technology.
The event featured presentation of Awards to some Dignitaries including the Former Deputy Director of Engineering Services, Engineer Gabriel Ajayi and letter of commendation to outstanding members of staff of the department and some retirees.
