The youth wing of the Hamadiya Muslims Association of Nigeria has staged a cycling rally in Ibadan to promote peace, religious tolerance, and discourage vices like banditry, kidnapping, and hooliganism.
The youths in Hundreds of participants, including children, wore green T-shirts and carried placards, advocating for peace, cycling round Apata, Oluyole Estate, and Kuola area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The National Youth President of the Association, Mr Abdulrofiu Alaka, emphasized that the event, simultaneously going on in other sixteen states of the country, urged the youths to reject acts contrary to Islamic teachings.


A six-year-old participant, Al Amen Atiba, said he joined the rally in spreading the message of peace.
Contributing, the Former National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organisation, Mr. Abdulrokeeb Akinyemi, urged the youths to see peace as a necessity.
He stressed that community leaders, religious bodies and government should re-strategize on importance of peaceful co- existence among everyone.
