Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has asked the church to keep praying for sustainable growth and development in Oyo State.

The governor said this at the Thanksgiving Service held at Rehoboth Cathedral, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan.

While expressing his appreciation to God for keeping the state safe and prosperous under his watch, Governor Makinde also thanked the church for supporting his administration right from the outset.

While assuring of his administration’s determination to continually improve the infrastructure, Makinde promised to fix Elebu and BCJ roads before the end of his tenure.

Earlier, the Presiding Bishop of Rehoboth Cathedral, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, said people should give thanks to God because it is a command by the Almighty, adding that doing so is the key to abundant life.

He prayed that Governor Makinde would finish on a high note. He also prayed for continued progress in the state.
