Osun Businessman, Chief Yusuf Amuda Lawal ‘Obelawo’ Dies at 95

A renowned businessman in Osun State, Chief Yusuf Amuda Lawal, also known as Obelawo, has died.

In a statement by the Head of the Lawal Obelawo family, Mrs Bolanle Obelawo-Adedimeji described him as a prominent figure known for his leadership, integrity and commitment to service to humanity.

The statement described him as a distinguished personality whose impact was felt not only within his family and community but also across Nigeria and parts of West Africa.

Late Chief Obelawo was born on May 20, 1930, in Ejigbo, Osun State, Nigeria.

The Ejigbo-born businessman, was based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where he was the country’s construction giant.
