The Oyo State House of Assembly lawmakers have unanimously endorsed the governorship ambition of the Speaker, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin.
The endorsement was initiated at plenary, during “Matter Under Adjournment” by the Deputy Speaker, Mr Muhammad Fadeyi, who represents Ona Ara State Constituency.
In his presentation, Mr Fadeyi commended the Speaker’s leadership trajectory, describing him as a stabilising force within the legislature whose stewardship has strengthened legislative-executive harmony in Oyo State.
In their contributions, other lawmakers including the Majority Leader, Mr. Sanjo Adedoyin, Mr. Babajide Gabriel, Mr. Abiola Olalekan, Mr. Olusola Owolabi, and Mr. Gbenga Oyekola described the Speaker as a leader who has demonstrated capacity beyond expectations.
The motion was subsequently subjected to a voice vote by the presiding officer, after which members supported the endorsement
In his response, Mr. Adebo Ogundoyin expressed appreciation to his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him, describing the endorsement as a major encouragement.
