Operatives of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 25 year old Abubakar Musa for allegedly killing two persons and injuring three others at Olámbe area of the state.
In a statement, the Spokesperson of the command, Mr Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed the arrest of the suspect in Abeokuta.
Mr Babaseyi explained that the suspect allegedly attacked the victims with a knife when they were trying to calm him down after failing in some business deals.
The command’s spokesperson noted that two out of the five people the suspect stabbed were confirmed dead at the hospital while the remaining three persons were responding to treatment.
He said that the suspect had been sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation and prosecution.
Mr Babaseyi pointed out that the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Mr Bode Ojajuni, condemned the attack and promised that justice would be served.
He urged people to stay alert and report any suspicious or violent behaviour to the police.
