The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has declared his intention to contest the governorship of Oyo State, promising to run an inclusive administration if elected.
Senator Alli made the declaration in Ibadan at the official unveiling of his ambition to run under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).






He said his experience in public service at both state and national levels has equipped him to lead the state effectively, expressing confidence that he is well-positioned to emerge as the next governor.
Senator Alli pledged that his administration would prioritise accountability, transparency and people-oriented policies to drive development across the state.
He commended President Bola Tinubu and leaders of the APC in Oyo State for providing a level playing ground for all aspirants.
Senator Alli also called on party leaders and members to unite and work collectively towards ensuring the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
