The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command, has said that it has commenced investigation into the kidnap of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Wale Oriade in Ibadan.
The command Public Relations Officer, Mr Adewale Osifeso, stated this while confirming the incident to Radio Nigeria.
Mr Osifeso said the APC chieftain in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, was kidnapped by gunmen on Wednesday at around 7:00 p.m. in his office located at Elewure NNPC, Akala Expressway, New Garage, Ibadan.
Radio Nigeria gathered that Mr Oriade was kidnapped by three gunmen, who forced him into a blue Micra to an unknown destination.
At the time of filing this report, the abductors were yet to contact the family of the victim.
