Muslims have been admonished to accord due regard to the sanctity of life and always remember that every soul will gather for stewardship on the day of reckoning.

A renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani-Bello gave the advice during the 2nd Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Memorial Ramadan Lecture at the Ishaq Ajimobi Central Mosque, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Sheikh Ajani-Bello, who stressed that human salvation before Allah was to contribute to his course, cautioned people against amassing wealth and other worldly pursuits.

The cleric while condemning ritual killings, appealed to government to address insecurity bedeviling the country.

Sheikh Ajani-Bello urged wealthy individuals to give tangible charity to banish poverty and uplift the standard of living of the less privileged.

Chairman on the occasion, Mallam Yusuf Ali, SAN, said late Governor Abiola Ajimobi had bequeathed a lasting legacy and highly rewarding act of worship in the sight of Allah.

In a remark, the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial district, Dr Fatai Buhari described the memorial lecture as soul lifting and a reminder that life is a sojourn, where good deeds are prerequisite for eternity.

Special prayers were then offered for the Ajimobi family, Oyo State and Nigeria.
