Ogun State Police Command has paraded a twenty nine years old fake kidnap victim, Segun Mafimidowo alongside forty one other criminal suspects in Abeokuta.
The fake kidnap suspect while speaking with newsmen at the police headquarters said he faked his alleged kidnap to get money from his parents.
According to the Ogun State Police Command Spokesman, Mr. Abímbólá Oyeyemi who paraded the suspects, the fake kidnap suspect, connived with some of his friends to demand for eight million naira ransom from his parents under the pretense that he has been kidnapped by some unknown gunmen in Sagamu area of the state.
Mr. Oyeyemi explained that the suspect sent picture of where he was tied on both hands to his parents to prove that he had been abducted by gun men before demanding for the ransom.
The Police Public Relations Officer also stated that ninety three suspected cultists arrested by the police are currently at the corrections facilities in the state also paraded another thirty two suspected secret cult members that e said played roles in various cult clashes across the state.
The Ogun Police command PPRO reiterated that the war against cultism will continue to yield positive results.
