Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 32 year old, Samson Sikiru, for allegedly strangled his mother to death in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The suspected drug addict, Samson Sikiru, was arrested after the suspect’s younger brother, who is a night guard returning from duty, alerted the neighbours of the incident.
One of the witnesses labelled the suspect as a known drug addict who fled home for five years, but returned recently.
According to The Police Spokesperson, Mrs Omotola Odutola, Lacerations were discovered, found around her right legs, proving that there was force and violence.
She described the suspect as psychiatric patient following his incoherent responses to their questions.
