The Nigerian Army has concluded the Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination for eligible officers with a charge on the officers to regard the promotion as a catalyst to boost their morale on the job.
The Examination President and Commander, Training and Doctrine Command of the Nigerian Army, Major General Kelvin Aligbe stated this at the closing ceremony of the Examination held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto Abeokuta.
Major General Aligbe who applauded the 100 percent success rate recorded during the examination attributed the officers’ performance to their comportment, discipline and enthusiasm demonstrated throughout the exercise.
The President and Commander, Training and Doctrine Command of the Nigerian Army also acknowledged the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for deploying the needed resources towards ensuring a successful exercise.
Major General Aligbe also appreciated the Ogun State Government for providing the enabling environment to enhance the conduct of the two – week promotion exercise.
Three candidates, Captains Ibrahim Yusuf, Amobi Nwafor and Muhammad Maina were rated exceptional out of the the 286 successful participants in the Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination to test their proficiency level and capability to undertake higher responsibilities.
