The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the deaths of two Nollywood production crew members found lifeless inside a parked vehicle at a movie location in Lekki, Lagos.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abimbola Adebisi, made this known on Monday that the suspect was a member of the production team who allegedly delivered food to the deceased before they were discovered unresponsive.

One suspect has been arrested. The suspect was the one who delivered food to the victims in the vehicle. Investigation is still ongoing,” she said.

Recalled, the victims — lighting director Ekemini “GeeTee” Imeh and his associate, Ayodeji Walter Odediran — were found dead on Saturday, February 7, within the premises of Evercare Hospital Lekki, which was being used as a filming location.

According to a police source, the two crew members arrived early at the set to install lighting equipment ahead of shooting. After completing the setup, they reportedly entered a tinted Nissan vehicle parked within the premises to rest while awaiting further production activities for a film said to be directed by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Boma.

“At about 11am, a production staff member delivered breakfast to them inside the vehicle. The air-conditioning was on, and both men appeared relaxed at the time. Subsequent calls to their phones went unanswered. After filming wrapped up around 8pm, they were found lifeless in the vehicle,” the source said.

Another police source disclosed that the matter was initially reported at the Maroko Police Station, while CCTV footage from the premises is being reviewed as part of ongoing investigations.

The bodies have been deposited in a morgue for autopsy and toxicology examinations,” the source added.

Adebisi confirmed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further probe, noting that investigators are working to determine the exact cause of death.

Until his death, Imeh was the Chief Executive Officer of a lighting company and was known for his work on major productions, including King of Boys, as well as music videos for artistes such as Davido.

The incident comes days after gospel artiste Matthew Ogundele, popularly known as Segun Praise, and three of his crew members were found dead inside a music studio in the Abraham Adesanya area of Ajah, Lagos State.

Nollywood actress Ajara Lasisi, popularly known as Aunty Ajara, is dead.

Her death was announced on Thursday by Nollywood director, Tobi Oladele Teemony, also known as Tee Mony, in a statement shared on Instagram.

“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved actress, Aunty Ajara. She passed on overnight after a long and courageous battle with illness,” the statement read.

Teemony said the late actress received “immense love, prayers, and financial support from kind-hearted people across the world” during her illness.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood by her with prayers, contributions, encouragement, and compassion,” he added.

He also urged members of the public to stop sending donations to the account previously shared for her treatment, stating that financial contributions were “no longer required”.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, loved ones, and everyone grieving this painful loss,” the statement added.

The statement by Teemony was accompanied by a video by her elder brother, Ridwan Lasisi.

He said, “Good morning to you all. My name is Ridwan Lasisi. I am a brother to Ajara. The doctor confirmed to us this morning that Ajara has passed on.

“All the families, we are using this period to appreciate you all. We appreciate the president and all industry members.

“We also use this opportunity to appeal to those sending money not to send it anymore. The one we are contributing for her sake is no more. Thank you so much. We do not want you to send money into that account again.”

The announcement came about a week after Teemony and other nollywood figures like Ronke Oshodi Oke appealed for urgent financial assistance for the actress, saying her condition had worsened despite ongoing treatment and support from colleagues and well-wishers.

“Please, we need help. Ajara’s health condition has become more critical despite all the efforts so far. So much has already been spent on her treatment, with generous support from kind-hearted celebrities, actors, and individuals — yet the situation is getting worse.

“At this point, we urgently need more financial assistance to keep her fighting. Any amount, any support, any share can make a difference. Please help us save a life. Thank you and God bless,” he wrote at the time.

Earlier reports indicated that the small-screen actress was pregnant and battling a liver-related illness, with colleagues saying she had been placed on oxygen in hospital as her condition deteriorated.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Charity Dikeh, has reconciled with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, bringing an end to a decade-long public feud.

Tonto Dikeh made this known in an emotional tribute on Saturday, describing the reconciliation as a restoration after years of conflict, broken communication, bitterness, and emotional pain.

She said peace and mutual respect have now replaced the hostility that once defined their relationship.

According to report, the reconciliation came after sustained prayers, humility, and a decision to choose peace for the sake of their child. She credited the turnaround to divine intervention and said what human effort could not fix had now been healed.

Report says, the actress expressed gratitude to Churchill for yielding to reconciliation and choosing a peaceful path, noting that obedience and patience had led to the restoration of their relationship, using the moment to encourage others facing similar challenges not to lose hope, stressing that difficult situations can still be resolved with perseverance, faith, and love.

She prayed that the renewed relationship would remain stable and built on mercy, grace, and mutual understanding, adding that their reconciliation should serve as a testimony that broken relationships can be healed.

She wrote, “We are living proof that the Word of God is eternal and unfailing.

“God is not a God who abandons what He has started. When He begins a work, He stays with it until it is completed.

“After ten long years of public battles, deep wounds, broken communication, bitterness, and pain, God stepped in. What looked ugly, impossible, and beyond repair has been touched by mercy. Peace has replaced chaos.

“This restoration is not by might, not by wisdom, not by strength—but by the Spirit of the Lord. When God moves, the human mind cannot comprehend the process. He softens hearts, silences the enemy, and rewrites stories that looked finished. Every plan of darkness has failed. Stubbornness has bowed. Pride has melted. Love has found its voice again for my child.

“I am deeply grateful to the father of my child Dr kunle for yielding to God’s word and choosing peace. Obedience to God always births restoration, even when the road has been long and painful.

“To anyone standing where I once stood, tired, wounded, misunderstood, and believing nothing good can come out of the situation.please hear this: God has not abandoned you. Your story is not over. What He has started, He will surely perfect. Keep praying. Keep choosing love. Keep trusting God even when it hurts.

“May this restored relationship remain built on the solid rock of God’s mercy, protection, grace, and mighty hand. May it stand as a living testimony that God never fails, never forgets, and never walks away from His own.

“If God did it for us, He can do it for you.

“To my spiritual father, Papa, thank you for grooming a God-fearing, impact-making woman out of a Total Mess.”

Recalled that, the former couple, who shared a son, King Andre, were involved in prolonged public disputes which led to their separation.

Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele, has opened up about a touching conversation he recently had with his triplets regarding the accident that left him confined to a wheelchair.

The singer, who welcomed his triplets — Richard, Raymond, and Eniola — in January 2019, shared the emotional moment in a video posted on his Instagram page today, December 12th, 2025.

The children, now six years old, were seen gathered around their father as they curiously and innocently questioned why he could not stand or walk.

Ayefele revealed that his children had come into his room early in the morning and began praying earnestly for him to stand and walk. The heartfelt gesture moved him to tears as he recalled the tragic incident that changed his life.

According to Ayefele, the life-altering accident occurred on December 12, 1997, leaving him with injuries that have made walking impossible for nearly three decades. However, he told his children that he still believes he will one day walk again.

The emotional exchange continued as his son Richard pressed further, wanting to know the details of the accident. Ayefele explained that he was driving when his car tumbled multiple times due to a slippery road, eventually landing in a deep pit inside a bush.

Richard: Daddy, how can you not stand?

Yinka Ayefele: “I cannot stand because I had an accident.”

Richard: “Tell me the accident.”

Yinka Ayefele: “I should tell you the accident.”

Richard: Yes

Yinka Ayefele: “Ah, it has been long, it is a motor accident.”

Yinka Ayefele, “You are not happy because I cannot walk.”

Richard: “Nodded, meaning yes.”

Yinka Ayefele: “Don’t worry, I will be fine

Yinka Ayefele : “You said you wanted to ask me another question.”

Richard said: “No, just a question, why can you not stand?”

Yinka Ayefele, “I still believe I am going to walk, do you want me to walk?”

Richard said, “Yes

I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name. But it’s my personal choice… I also respect a woman’s ability to choose,” she noted.

My dad has a wealth of wisdom. I’ve been fortunate to learn from him, but I think he felt it was time for the rest of the world to understand his journey as an entrepreneur,” she said.

Snoop Dogg admitted that he’s “scared to go to the movies” after seeing a same-sex couples represented onscreen while taking his grandson to see Disney’s Lightyear: “I didn’t come here for this s–t.”

Snoop Dogg’s latest comments are raising eyebrows.

After taking one of his seven grandchildren to see Disney’s Lightyear, the “Gin and Juice” rapper recalled being shocked to see an, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer, or Questioning LGBTQ+ couple represented on the screen.

“It’s like, I’m scared to go to the movies now,” Snoop said on the Aug. 20 episode of Sarah Fontenot’s it’s Giving podcast. “Y’all throwing me in the middle of s–t that I don’t have an answer for.”

During one scene in the 2022 Toy Story spinoff, female character Alisha Hawthorne (voiced by Uzo Aduba) notes that she has a wife. The couple is later shown kissing and goes on to welcome a son.

It threw me for a loop,” he continued. “I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this?’ These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”

Indeed, the 55-year-old said that the moment sparked many questions from the little one.

“My grandson, in the middle of the movie, like, ‘Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman,’” he recalled. “She a woman.”

And in response, Snoop simply said at the time, “Hey man, watch the movie.”

But in reality, he was thinking to himself, “Oh s–t. I didn’t come here for this s–t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”

E! News has reached out to Snoop’s rep for further comment and has not heard back.

Lightyear’s representation of a same-sex couples caused quite a bit of controversy at the time of its release, with countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates banning it altogether.

At one point, the scene was even cut from the film, per Variety, before it was later added back following former CEO Bob Chapek’s apology for the company’s silence surrounding Florida’s Don’t Say Gay bill.”

Speaking to you, reading your messages, and meeting with you have helped me better understand how painful our silence was,” Chapek wrote in a March 2022 email to employees. “It is clear that this is not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights.”

“You needed me to be a stronger ally in the fight for equal rights and I let you down,” he continued. “I am sorry.”
