Muslim Community of Oyo State has commiserated with the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta,  Alhaji Dawud Akinola  over  the death of his wife
Alhaja Halimat whose remains had been committed to mother earth.

This is contained in a condolence message by Chairman and Secretary-General of the Community, Alhaji Kunle Sanni and Alhaji Murisiku Siyanbade.

The community prayed to Almighty Allah to console Aare Musulumi and his entire family so as to bear the trial.

“We received with shock, news of the demise of your dear wife, Alhaja Halimat Akinola, whose remains were committed to mother earth on Tuesday 27th October 2021.”

“We hereby pray that Allah, repose her soul in the best Barzakh and ultimately grant her Jannatul-Firdaws, Aamin.

Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Dawud Akinola has described the death of a foremost Muslim philanthropist in Ibarapaland, Alhaji Sanusi Ojolowo as a great loss to Islam.

In a statement in Ibadan, Alhaji Akinola said the death of  Alhaji  Ojolowo who was the Aare Musulumi of Ibarapaland was very painful stressing that the Ummah has lost a very religious, amiable and generous man.

“When I heard about the death of Alh.Sanusi Mustapha Ojolowo, I was shocked but consoled with the fact that the deceased lived a fulfilled life”.
He said the deceased was a philanthropist of note whose priority was always the advancement of humanity as well as unity of Muslims. 

“Alhaji Ojolowo was a pious Man who was always thinking of the unity of the Muslims and service to humanity . In terms of support for the needy, he had no equal in Ibarapa land making many people to benefit from his generosity.”
He noted that the private Hajj outfit of Alhaji Ojolowo was unique as it made going on pilgrimage easy for both indigenes and non- indigenes.

“In fact, he has been operating Hajj saving scheme for decades before the National Hajj Commission just commenced the scheme. A lot of people had gone on Hajj through Alhaji Ojolowo’s pilgrimage made easy scheme.

” He never exploited pilgrims and he was always out to serve rather than be served. He was best among his equals in hajj management”. 

Alhaji Akinola emphasized that Alhaji Ojolowo has with his hard-earned resources single-handedly been into dawah and promotion of Islam for decades.

He commiserated with the family and the Ummah in Ibarapaland and Oyo state at large and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive Alhaji Ojolowo and grant him Aljannah Fridaos.

Alhaji Mustapha Sanusi Ojolowo,  an octogenarian died on Wednesday,  22nd September and was buried in his hometown in Tapa, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State same day according to Islamic rites.

Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta state, Alhaji Dawud Akinola has congratulated the Muslim faithful on the new Islamic calendar, hijrah 1442.

 Alhaji Akinola gave his congratulatory message in a statement in Ibadan.

The Aare Musulumi, while noting that hijrah was a turning point in Islam, urged Muslims to shun all forms of evil and rededicate themselves to Allah. Alhaji Akinola admonished the faithful to celebrate the new year with caution by observing all covid-19 protocols.

 The Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta states also implored Muslims and every Nigerian to continue to pray for peace and unity in the country.
