Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle  Amosun has described the late Olori Taiwo Yetunde Gbadebo as a woman of substance who made invaluable contributions to the development of Egbaland, the State, and Nigeria.

Senator Amosun in his condolence message to the family of Oba Gbadebo noted that Olori Yetunde Gbadebo would be remembered for her meritorious teaching career and service to the nation, particularly her unblemished records as a Resident Electoral Commissioner of FEDECO in charge of Rivers and Lagos States in the 1970s.

He noted that Olori Gbadebo was a patriotic Nigerian who served selflessly and discharged herself creditably well during the most critical periods in the history of the nation and was also a key player in the Egba Traditional Institution.

Senator Amosun while condoling with the Gbadebo royal dynasty particularly the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Children, and other family members of the departed Olori,enjoined them to  thank God for the grace of longevity and take solace in the legacies that she left behind.

The Former Governor prayed to God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Olori Yetunde Gbadebo, widow of the erstwhile Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adesina Samuel Gbadebo II died on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, at the age of 96.

The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial district of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun says he has the confidence that the All Progressives Congress APC led administration under Senator Bola Tinubu’s administration will work to generate, transmit and distribute about fifteen thousand megawatt of electricity within a year

Senator Amosun made this known at a reception rally held in Abeokuta to celebrate what his loyalists called heroic welcome to the state after the APC special convention in Abuja.

The former governor who lamented that the country was  having challenges said the flag bearer of the party will fix the problems of insecurity, poor power supply and unemployment.

Senator Amosun while campaigning for the party’s Presidential candidate,  disclosed that his personal interest to be president of the nation was not as important as the interest of the south-west region of the country.

The former Presidential aspirant also called on his supporters and loyalists to support the APC and it’s presidential candidate, Senator Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general election.
