There is the need for the Federal Government through the Ministry of Sports Development and that of Youth Development to invest more resources in the teeming youths in the Country to enhance their potential.

A United States based businessman and Squash player, Dr. Olutayo Obi stated this while speaking with Radio Nigeria during his visit to Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Dr. Obi who was elated with the level of development and equipment at the Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre using for the benefit of Nigerians, called on the government to support and encourage the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde in her efforts to make the youth develop their God-given talent through Sports and skill acquisition.

“I am happy that Ambassador Ayinde is engaging the youths positively through sports, thus taking their minds off social vices and again producing athletes that can win laurels for the country”

“I salute Kayrom Lee for her never die spirit in making the development of the youths and wellness her priority”

“People like Ambassador Ayinde are very rare in the society and she should be encouraged to do more. For her to equip a Science Laboratory and make it available free for students in the State she deserves encouragement”

Dr. Obi added that, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde has been using her personal resources to support the Youths and the less privileged to reduce crime rate in the society, saying, she is engaging the youths, for them to be self reliant in the future.

Responding, the Entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer, Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre, Ibadan, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde said, her passion for Sports and Youths Development was to support the government towards making the Youths useful for nation’s development.

It would be recalled that, Ambassador Ayinde is the Chairperson of Netball Association, Oyo State who is bringing school girls across the State together to play the game of Netball and make them compete favorably with other players.

There is a need for individuals and government at all levels in Nigeria to support the talented youths in Sports to make them compete favourably with their counterparts in the World.

A United Kingdom-based businessman, Anthony Ojelabi stated this during a Courtesy call on the Chairperson, of Netball Association Oyo State, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde in her Office at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ojelabi who expressed his delight over the resuscitation of the Netball game in the State through the efforts of Ambassador Ayinde, pledged his unalloyed support to the development of the game to gain more prominence among other games.

The businessman through his father, Martins Ojelabi noted that youths in the society could attain greatness in sports if given adequate backing to make them shun social vices and embrace peace that sports bring to the Society. 

“We need to keep encouraging our youths in the country. The money they are making in sports all over the World is huge and it is improving the Country. No Nation that supports Sports will not go higher. I will keep doing everything within my reach to support the project through Ambassador Romoke Ayinde who is a pillar and promoter of sports and youth development “

Ojelabi who promised to purchase more equipment for Netball development in addition to the ones he donated, applauded Ambassador Ayinde for her all-time support to youths and Sports Development in the State and Nigeria in general.

Responding, the Host who is the Chief Executive Officer, Kayrom Lee Gym and Fitness Centre, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde commended the Visitor for his Philanthropic gesture, calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate him for the development of the teeming youths in the Country.

Ambassador Ayinde said, her passion for youths was borne out of her belief in their advancement in life, seeing them contributing to the Nation’s development rather than committing crimes in the society. 

She appealed to the government not to relent in its efforts at making the Youths development a priority in all its Policies and Programmes, saying, there are many brilliant youths in the country that can contribute meaningfully to the Nation’s socio-economic advancement.

Osun State Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola says success of any organization is a function of a visionary leader and fervency of their readiness to drive their followers to pursue a common corporate goal to guarantee its development.

Governor Oyetola stated this at this year’s Retreat of the Chief Executive Officers of Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers in Ilesa.

According to him , leadership had a responsibility to adopt inclusiveness by tapping members’ talents to build the organization.

In a remark, the commissioner for  insurance in the country, Mr Sunday Thomas , who was represented by Mr Gbenga Jayesinmi emphasized the zero toleration to violation of extent law and guidelines  governing the conduct of insurance.

Mr Thomas  cautioned members against unnecessary delay in claims settlement that might  trigger the use arbitrary clause, soliciting their  cooperation to leverage on benefits of professionalism with a view to gaining customers’ confidence.

In her welcome address, the president of the Nigerian Council  of Registered Insurance  Insurance  Brokers , Mrs Bola Onigbogi urged participants to make best use of the opportunity provided by the retreat to improve their services to their clients.
