Encourage your followers to register for their PVCs – Methodist Prelate

The Prelate, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr. Samuel Kanu-Uche has called on religious leaders not to use force, but rather persuade their eligible followers to register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR.

Dr. Kanu-Uche stated this while speaking with a Radio Nigeria correspondent in Ibadan. 

He said worshippers must not be threatened in obtaining their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs and appealed to religious leaders not to be fanatical about the things of God. 

Dr. Kanu-Uche equally enjoined Christians to go into active politics.

He urged those in government and the governed to shun social vices that could jeopardize the peaceful coexistence of the nation. 

Dr. Kanu-Uche added that Nigerians should live in harmony regardless of religious and political differences.

Methodist Prelate Rejects Same-Sex Marriage

The prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Kanu-Uche has called on Nigerians to be more security-conscious in the face of the current insecurity in the country.

He made the call while speaking with newsmen during a visit to Egbe Ekiti, Gboyin Local Government for the dedication of a church in the community.

Dr Kanu-Uche that the incessant attacks on innocent souls called for the urgent attention of all, saying security is a collection responsibility.

He appealed to government and security agencies to design more strategic actions to end wanton killings across the country.

The prelate however rejected the proposed legalization of same sex marriage by some European churches describing it as devilish and nonsense.
