Testimonies of the good deeds of Madam Abigael Adewumi took centre stage at the Christian Wake held in her honour at her residence in Ibadan.

Family members, friends and neighbours, who spoke at the service, all attested to the godly and exemplary life Madam Adewumi lived on earth.

While sharing his personal experience with Madam Adewumi, Pastor, New Glory Baptist Church, Agbowo, Ibadan, Oyewole Oyekan said the deceased was a prayerful Christian.

Pastor Oyekan, who is also a Family Pastor to the Adewumis, admonished the congregation to emulate Madam Adewumi’s lifestyle in order to qualify for heavenly bliss after the sojourn on earth.

In a sermon, General Overseer, Power Apostolic Church International, Oke Agbara Olorun Ni Ngbani, Wait and Get Bus stop, Agbowo, Ibadan, Prophet Samuel Abiodun said only God knows the time every human being would die, hence the need for everyone to draw closer to God.

In separate interviews, two children of the deceased, Mrs Adenike Omotayo and Mr Adewole Adewumi of the Finance department, Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, described their Mother as caring and God-fearing.

Madam Abigael Adepate Adewumi died on the 9th of May, this year at the age of 71.

Funeral service for Madam Adewumi will hold on Saturday at First Baptist Church, Igbajo, Oke-Isao in Osun state.

Family ,Friends and associates of late Pa Joseph Olasupo Duduyemi have described him as a good man whose exit would be greatly missed.
In a sermon entitled “Fight the good fight of Faith”,Vicar of St. Paul Anglican Church, Ayegbaju Ile Ife,Venerable Sunday Jewoola urged people to strive to gain heaven where there is no pain or sorrow.

He described death as inevitable for everyone, hence the need to do good while on earth.

Wife of the deceased Mrs Grace Duduyemi said her husband fought a good fight and was happy that he is resting at the Bossom of the Lord.

First daughter of Pa Duduyemi, Mrs Yetunde Akinyelu said she was comforted remembering how much her father poured into them while growing up which had positively impacted them.

Pa Oladosu Duduyemi served as Director of Audit in Osun State Civil Service, Osogbo and served in various capacities before retiring in year 2000.

Pa Duduyemi who died at the age of eighty is survived by wife,children, grandchildren, nieces and cousins.

The life and times of the matriarch of Aladenika family of Ondo, Ayaba Comfort Boladale Aladenika was celebrated as family,friends and well-wishers from across the globe gathered to bid her farewell.

In his homily, titled “if you miss eternity”, at the open-air Interdenominational service, Pastor Oshioyemi of Christ Church of New Testament Aladura, Ondo, said the “Christian race on Earth was targeted at making heaven and being with God”.
Pastor Oshioyemi maintained that testimonies from children, families , neighbors and the church of God were all affirming that mama was in the bosom of her maker .

He enjoined the children and all present at the funeral to emulate Mama’s good works and even try to surpass it.

In a tribute , the children described their mother as a strict disciplinarian with eyes for perfection.

Ayaba Comfort Boladale Aladenika who died at the age of 91 is survived by 6 children, 21 grand children, 6 great grand children among whom is the former Edo State NUJ Chairman, Otunba Mike Aladenika.

Friends, Associates and Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ogun state council have paid their last respect to their departed leader, Mr Soji Amosu who died on Sunday at the age of 53 during a brief illness.

Those who witnessed the lying-in-state held at the Iwe Iroyin, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, Secretariat of the NUJ described the deceased as a selfless and professional leader.

A board member of Ogun state Television, OGTV, Elder Wale Idowu who said the late Soji Amosu worked with him at the National Orientation Agency, NOA, noted that he was trustworthy and passionate while describing his death as devastating.

Also, the Acting General Manager, Ogun State Television, OGTV,  Mr Tunde Kazeem said the contributions of late Amosu to the development of NUJ in the state was commendable, stating that his footprints would remain indelible.

In a contribution, The General Manager, Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Mrs Funmi Wakama described the deceased as a consummate professional who would be greatly missed.

Special Adviser to the Ogun state Governor on Communications, Pastor Remmy Hassan said the late Soji Amosu was a committed and visionary leader who was determined to effect positive change to the profession.

At the funeral service held at the Antioch Baptist Church, Bode Olude, Abeokuta, the Reverend Rotimi Afuape.

In a sermon entitled ” the final journey” said death was inevitable, hence the need for the living to make positive contributions to the society.

A son of the deceased, Dr Opeyemi Amosu described his father as God’s gift wrapped in a humble, selfless, committed and resolute creature.

The remains of the deceased were thereafter interred at his Bode Olude, Abeokuta residence.
