Radio Nigeria has been commended for maintaining the flagship in broadcasting through presentations of quality programmes.

Chief Imam, Oluyole Central Mosque, Imam Mudashiru Bada stated this at the inauguration of the board of trustees of a popular Radio Nigeria Programme tagged “Gbajare”.

Alhaji Bada observed that programmes such as Gbajare that sought to reach out to the less privileged were the best form of humanity anyone could offer.

Zonal Director, FRCN Ibadan, Mrs Bolatito Joseph noted that assisting the less-privileged in society must not be left in the hands of the government alone.

Mrs Joseph called on well-meaning Nigerians to be Good Samaritans to their neighbours and should not turn deaf ears to their plight, especially in this trying time.

The Deputy Director News, Mr Tunde Abiodun said Gbajare as a programme would be sustained as listeners had formed a passion for it.

The programme Gbajare which is a “Save Our Soul” had assisted a lot of people in dealing with challenges such as health, financial and marital issues.

Radio Nigeria has put a smile on the face of a man, Olusegun Oreoluwa, ten years after he had suffered an injury at a private construction company.

The cheque of 500,000 Naira was presented to Mr. Oreoluwa by the company through Gbajare crew of the corporation.

Chairman, Horizon Construction Company, Abuja, Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi, who was represented by Mr. Sola Ogunyemi commended FRCN, Ibadan, for wiping away tears of the indigent who cannot afford to go to court, due to financial constraints.

The beneficiary, Mr. Olusegun Oreoluwa, appreciated FRCN and his former company for making him happy.

In a remark, the Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello lauded the efforts of the construction company by taking heed to the plea of their former staff.

Earlier, the Deputy Director News, Reverend Olusegun Ayankoso pledged the determination of Gbajare crew to getting justice for anyone that approaches the FRCN.
