People of Ogun State have been assured of better service delivery and the provision of evenly distributed development projects through the collaborative efforts of the government and relevant organizations. 
The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile gave the assurance when the management team of Radio Nigeria Paramount FM Abeokuta, led by the General Manager, Mr Akinyinka Akintola paid a courtesy visit to his Oke Mosan, Abeokuta office. 

Alhaji Odusile who noted that Radio remained a major medium of communication in the state encouraged media professionals, especially 

journalists to avoid destructive criticisms and support the government to promote overall development of the state.

Alhaji Odusile who received the delegation in the company of the Ministry’s Coordinating Director, Mr Lanre Ogunyinka and the Director ICT and social media ,Alhaja Kemi Ewedairo – Yusuf said it was imperative for the media to work with the government to ensure sustainable peace and security across the state. 

The General Manager of Paramount FM 94.5 Abeokuta,  Mr Akinyinka Akintola who also paid a visit to the office of the Ogun State Head of Service, Dr Nofiu Aigoro had restated the station’s readiness to package political education programmes towards mobilizing the people ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Mr Akintola who explained that Radio Nigeria would always give priority to the provision of quality content for the betterment of the society, solicited the continued support of the state government for the station.

In a remark, the State Head of Service, Dr Nofiu Aigoro, acknowledged the cordial working relationship between the state government and federal establishments in the state, particularly Paramount FM and gave the assurance that the state government would continue to partner the station.

Dr Aigoro also said the state Civil service was committed to upholding standard practices in the efforts to move the state forward.

Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has described the death of the General Manager of the Shooting Stars Supporters’ Club, 3SC, Mr Rasheed Balogun as sad and shocking.

A statement by Moses Alao, Special Assistant Print Media to Governor Makinde, Governor Makinde commiserates with the immediate family of the late 3SC GM, management and players of the Oluyole Warriors and the people of Oyo State on the death of Mr Balogun.

According to Makinde, the death of Mr Balogun came at a time the 3SC needed his experience and expertise the most, having just guided the team to the coveted promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the football chief described as hard-working and committed, noting that his death would leave a huge vacuum in football management in the state.

He said: “The news of the death of my brother, Rasheed Balogun, the General Manager of the 3SC, came as a shock. It is sad, but we can only submit to the will of Allah SWT.

“I express my heartfelt condolences to his family, the management and players of the 3SC and all residents of Oyo State and pray to Allah, SWT, to forgive his sins and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.

“Mr Balogun was a committed administrator and a hardworking man. He gave his best to ensure the success of our darling Oluyole Warriors, working hard with our government to navigate the road to its promotion to the NPFL.

“His death at this time means that the 3SC has lost an experienced hand and an individual with huge expertise.

“It is my prayer that God grants us all the fortitude to bear his death.”

Fans and well-wishers converged on Amuludun FM, Moniya, Ibadan, to celebrate the station’s 14years of establishment with great achievements.

Delivering their ministration at the programme, Pastor Sunday Awe and Alfa Najimdeem Iyo-esin described Amuludun FM station as one of the best stations that promote unity.

Pastor Awe and Alfa Iyo-esin urged workers to contribute their quota to ensure peaceful co-existence among citizens.

Earlier, in an address of welcome, the General Manager of Amuludun FM, Moniya, Ibadan, Rev. Niyi Dahunsi appreciated God for the success of the station so far, urging the staff of the stations not to relent on the discharge of their duties.

Some of the staff of the station, Mr Adebayo Olaosun, Mrs Yemi Agboola and Mrs Teresa Jimoh who were happy to witness the anniversary, promised to put in more skills adequately as the motto of the Corporation at large implies, “Uplift The People, And Unite The Nation”.

Radio Nigeria, Amuludun FM Moniya Ibadan was established on October 22nd 2007 to disseminate information to the nook and cranny of both in and outside of the state.

Owners of Online Radio Broadcast Services and their on-air personalities have been challenged to be professional in their operations. 

General Manager, Premier FM Ibadan, Rev Niyi Dahunsi gave the advice in Ibadan while presenting a paper at the first anniversary of an Online Radio Service, Maranatha Radio International. 

Reverend Dahunsi who recalled the evolution of Radio Broadcasting in Nigeria from analog to digital in recent times explained that anchors of programmes on Maranatha Online Radio must endeavour to prioritize standardization, training and cordial relationship with its target audience to remain relevant. 

He identified some of the advantages of Online Radio to include easy accessibility, wider coverage and opportunity for job creation, saying such merits should be leveraged upon to affect people positively. 

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of Maranatha Online Radio International and presiding bishop, Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries International, Bishop Samuel Alawode said the service over the last one year had reached 52 nations of the world.
