Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has paid a condolence visit to the Awolowo family over the passing of Mr. Segun Awolowo Jr.
The governor, who was accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, was received by the widow of the deceased, his children, his mother, Mrs Abba Folawiyo, and other members of the Awolowo family.
In a message shared on his verified X handle, @DapoAbiodunCON, Governor Abiodun described the death of Segun Awolowo Jr. as both a personal and national loss, noting the emotional atmosphere at the family residence.




The governor extended his condolences to the widow, children, and the wider Awolowo family, praying for God’s comfort and the repose of the soul of the departed.
Segun Awolowo Jr., first grandson of the late Premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and former Executive Director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, died on Thursday at the age of 62.
