Actions continue this weekend at the ongoing Ibadan Community Cup at Saint Luke’s Grammar School field, Molete Ibadan.

Tomorrow, Ifeleye community will take on Akinlawon community at eleven o clock in the morning while at half past noon, Ayegun community will slug it out with Foko Community.

Adeoyo and Ayekale Communities will lock horns at two o clock in the afternoon, while Olounda Aba community will play Olunde community at half past three in the afternoon. 

Four matches will be played on Sunday with Adepo community taking on Kute community at eleven o clock in the morning while Inu odi Odeyale Community will crash with Gbekuba community at half past noon.

Other matches on Sunday will be between Apata community and Ile shehu Olomi community at two pm, while at half past three in the afternoon, Okebadan) encounter Ibidikugu community 3.30pm.

Thirty-two Compounds that will participate at the forthcoming 2021 Ibadan Community Cup have been drawn into groups.

At the event held at Olubadan Stadium, Iyaganku, sports administrators stressed the need for Ibadan to have more Amateur football Clubs to represent Oyo state at national competitions.

Teams to participate at the 2021 Ibadan Community Cup are Alake community, Oyeleke compound, Eleta community, Aroro Arulogun community, Ayegun community, Foko community,  Aba ode community and Olusetan compound.

Others are Wakajaye community, Afonta community, Ile-Eleta compound, Adeoyo compound, Apata community, Olubota compound,Kudeti, Alli Iwo community, Oganla community, Oloolu compound, Olodo community,  Ifeleye community and Akinlawon community.

The remaining teams are Oke’ Badan community, Abidikugu compound,Ojaaba, Irepodun Alaja community, Agugu community, Olorunda/Aba community, Olunde community, Adepo compound, Oranyan, Kute community

Inu-Odi Odeyale Oguntedo community, Gbekuba Aalo,  Abayomi community, Oloosaoko community.

Irepodun Alaja Community, Moniya won the first edition after defeating Olodo Community Olodo, Ibadan by ten goals to nine via penalty shootouts.

The ancient city of Ibadan metropolis will once again be set aglow as the Ibadan Community Cup football competition is set to take a centre stage.

A release made available to newsmen by the Media Coordinator of the tournament, Sunday Agunbiade and signed by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Coach Kayode Ogunleye says that some of the registered Compounds are, Kubu Compound Ojaba, Alu Sekere compound, popoyemoja and Akinlawon Compound Eleta.

Others are, Ajiwedogun Compound, Ololu Compound,Ode Aje, Foko Community, Aroro Arulogun, Oganla Community

The release notes that the closing date for registration has been extended to the 5th of next month to accommodate more Compounds, Agboole.

Irepodun Alaja Community, Moniya won the first edition via a penalty shoot-out,10-9, against Olodo Community World Wide, Olodo, Ibadan.
