Burial activities for the father Of Ogun State Governor, Pa Emmanuel Abiodun have Commenced with the service of songs  held in  Iperu Remo, Ikenne local government area of the state.

Delivering a sermon at the programme, Bishop, Ijebu Diocese, Anglican Communion, Bishop Babatunde Ogunbanwo urged Nigerians to be committed to the service of God and humanity during their life time.

While pointing out that the secret of good life was humanitarian and selfless service, Bishop Ogunbanwo, called on Nigerians to live an exemplary life which would make people to remember them after their sojourn on earth. 

The Bishop also described late Pa Abiodun as a humble man and great teacher who lived an  excellent and sacrificial life, urging the family members to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived an impactful life.

In a remark, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun described his father as a God fearing man who served God selflessly during his life time.

A lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Olamilekan Adeola has commended Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for ensuring overall development across the state in the last two years.

Senator Adeola who was accompanied by Senators across five geopolitical zones in the country gave the commendation in Iperu Remo during a condolence visit to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Senator Adeola said the present administration in the state had implemented laudable policies and programmes which had transformed the socio-economic landscape of the state.

While describing the late father of the Governor, Pa Emmanuel  Abiodun as a selfless man who related well with his family members and community during his life time, Senator Adeola urged his family to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a good life.

Responding, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun who thanked the senators for the show of love, said that his father taught him right values and encouraged him throughout his political career.

Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun says, his late Father Pa Emmanuel Abiodun  asked him to respect the civil servants and pay pensioners regularly.

Governor Abiodun stated this while receiving traditional rulers, leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students  and other prominent personalities who paid him a condolence visit in Iperu Remo. 

Governor Abiodun said his  Father told him to  pay workers’ salaries on time, treat teachers well, and be faithful to the oath of office.

While pointing out that his late father was a humble man who lived for his family and community, Governor Abiodun  urged the people of the state to live a humble life and serve humanity.

Earlier, the Akarigbo of Remoland Oba Babatunde Ajayi, said that late Pa Abiodun was an astute administrator and a great teacher who impacted positive values in the lives of younger ones.
