The Venerable Adekunle Adebayo of Ebenezer African Church Cathedral, Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State, has reminded Nigerians that death remains an unavoidable reality for all humans.

The Venerable Adebayo stated this during the funeral service of Pa Isaac Adetayo Popoola, the patriarch of the Popoola family.

He emphasised that death is a universal appointment for mankind and urged individuals to reflect on the legacy they would leave behind.

He described the late Pa Popoola as an upright and devoted family man whose life exemplified hard work, discipline and godly principles.

The cleric encouraged the congregation to emulate such virtues, noting that good deeds outlive a person and continue to speak long after death.

Family members, friends, and community associates filled the cathedral to honour the deceased, with many recalling his humility, kindness and commitment to family unity.

After the service, the remains of Pa Popoola were committed to mother earth at his residence in Asere – Iku Street, Ikare-Akoko.

Born on 15th June 1944, Pa Popoola died on November 25, 2025.

He is survived by children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews.
