A Political Science lecturer at the University of Ibadan, Professor Adigun Agbaje has been kidnapped.

The don was among travellers kidnapped on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at the weekend, as his Kidnappers were demanding 50 Million Naira ransom.

According to report, Professor Agbaje was kidnapped at the Dominion University area on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

The Abductors of Ekiti state Commissioner for Agriculture, Chief Folorunso Olabode and a yet to be identified woman have contacted the families of their victims.

The Abductors who demanded thirty million naira for their release, used the cell phone of the Commissioner to contact the families.

A family source who preferred anonymity, said that negotiations with the kidnapers had commenced.

Meanwhile, the Local Hunters in Ilejemeje local government have promised to synergize with government, security agencies to ensure their release.

Radio Nigeria Progress FM, gathered that the local hunters had since yesterday trooped into the bush to search for the victims.

Some sympathizers blamed the ugly trend on the bad portions of the road which they said criminal elements often used to perpetrate their evil acts. Oriola Afolabi

The Olori of Orunja of Odigbo Regina Akinrinmade, her two daughters and driver abducted last week have regained their freedom.

They were abducted on Akugba Akoko road last Saturday.

Sources close to the palace say Olori Akinrinmade and her two daughter as well as the drivers have reunited with their families.

The orunja, oba Akinrinmade thanked all those who assisted in securing the release of his wife, children and driver from their abductors.
