Oyo state government says it has not contravened any court order having inaugurated caretaker committees for the 33 local governments and 35 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.

Chief Press Secretary to Engineer Seyi Makinde the Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Taiwo Adisa dismissed the allegation by the Association of Local Governments (ALGON) in the state while speaking with newsmen.

Mr. Adisa said the aggrieved members could seek redress in court.

He explained that the matter they took to the court, in the first place was like a slap on the face of the judiciary because the election that brought the chairmen into the office was conducted in contravention of a court order.

Mr. Adisa noted that the government has looked at every aspect of the case they claimed to be in court pointing out that there was no restraining order on the government of Oyo State to run the local government, despite the fact that there is a case pending in court.
