Osun State government says it has not awarded any contract as being spread in some sections of the media.

This is contained in a statement signed by the spokesperson to the state governor, Mallam Rasheed Olawale.

The government clarifies that a report claiming that Governor Ademola Adeleke has awarded the reconstruction of the road leading to the Adeleke University, Ede, is a complete falsehood and product of malicious misinformation.

According to the statement, the new government is still settling down and has not awarded any contract.

The statement explains that the reconstruction of the said road is a project of the Federal Government to service the Federal Polytechnic, Ede and has been ongoing since the time of Oyetola’s administration.

In another development, Mallam Olawale has debunked a rumour that “Governor Ademola Adeleke Withdrawn 5 Billion Naira from State Accounts”.

In a statement, the governor’s spokesperson reminded the public that Governor Adeleke had during his inauguration announced the freezing of all state and local government accounts.

While stating that the new leader had no access to state accounts Mallam Olawale appealed to members of the public to ignore the rumour and regard it as a weak weapon being used by individuals who are still in pain OF power loss.

He concluded by saying that Governor Adeleke is in the seat to serve the people and is not interested in self-enrichment.
