Nigeria dominated the Para-Powerlifting event at the maiden West Africa Para Games, winning 10 of the 15 available medals — four gold, four silver and two bronze.

According to results released by the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Para-Powerlifting Federation, Afolabi-Oluwayemisi Olabisi, Ibrahim Dauda (59kg), Kayode Blessing (65kg), Esther Oyema (female lightweight) and Mark Onyinyechi (female heavyweight) all claimed gold for Nigeria.

Côte d’Ivoire secured one gold medal through Ado Adouherve in the male heavyweight class, while Ghana earned one silver and two bronze.

Benin finished with one bronze.
