Youths have been enjoined to perform their civic responsibilities, with the aim of developing the country.

Director, Youths Mobilization and Voluntary Organisation at Oyo State Agency for Youths Development, Mr Olaolu Afolabi stated this during a novelty football match on “Vote Not Fight” Campaign, held at Olubadan stadium, Ibadan.

The novelty match between Shallom FA, Ibadan, Oyo State, and Acme Dynamite FC, Ota, Ogun State was aimed at achieving peace, before, during and after the up coming elections.

Abdulai Salahudeen had opened scoring for the hosts in the first half of the encounter, while Anyanwu Chigozie scored the second goal.

The guests were unable to score a goal and the match ended 2 goals to nothing in favour of Shallom FA.

Radio Nigeria football team came from 2 goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against NTA Ibadan in a novelty match to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Premier FM Ibadan.

NTA Ibadan created the opening chances of the game and raced to a two-goal lead before Radio Nigeria pulled one back to make it 2-1 before halftime.

A few minutes into the 2nd half, it was 2-2 as Radio Nigeria forward, Oluwakayode Banjo capitalized on a loose ball to volley past the NTA goalkeeper.

Both teams had chances to win the game but they had to share the spoils after the final whistle.

NTA team coach, Ayomiku Ajibola said the match was a good show of friendship between the two media houses and in solidarity with Premier FM on its 20th-anniversary occasion.

The novelty match was graced by the Acting Zonal Director,  Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan National Station, Mrs Bolanle Owoyemi, General Manager, Premier FM Ibadan, Alhaji Bashir Omotoso, Deputy Director, Programmes, Mrs Bolatito Joseph, her counterpart in Administration and supplies, Dr Caroline Aremu, Deputy the Assistant Director of Finance, Mr Akin Amole and other management staff.
