Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin has installed four Mogajis and six Baales in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The Magajis are Alhaji Raji Ramoni, Mr Abideen Aderonmu, Mr Oluseye Oladejo and Mr Timothy Odeyale.
The Baales include Chief Akinbiyi Akinyemi, Chief Busari Sikiru, Mr Abdulfatai Musbaudeen, Chief Dauda Oladepo, Mr Husamot Yusuf, and Mr Sefiu Asade.
The Installation held at his palace, Oke Aremo, attracted family members and friends.
Addressing the newly installed traditional leaders, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin urged the traditional rulers to be custodians and promoters of the values identified with the ancient city.
Oba Olakulehin who spoke through Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Sharafadeen Alli, Oba Olakulehin warned the newly installed community leaders not to be involved in land grabbing but to ensure peaceful co-existence in their domains.
The Olubadan while congratulating the new Magajis for being worthy ambassadors of their family urged them to respect and abide by the Ibadan chieftaincy rules and laws.
Oba Olakulehin also warned the new Magajis not to engage in any conduct that would belittle their status, which he says would result in the withdrawal of their chieftaincy title.
In an interview, one of the newly installed Mogajis from Ogongo compound, Oje, in Ibadan, North East Local Government, Chief Abideen Aderonmu said his installation was due to his good representation in the community and promised to abide by rules and regulations of the Olubadan in councils.
